Gratitude

As this year I had vowed to have a rise in positive thoughts in my mental system, I have seen the stones turn around. This doesn't mean that I do not have my lows anymore, but for sure I feel that am attracting positive energy and a lot of laughs. Thus, as the month is ending I decided to jot down a pretty list of things I am grateful for. I am grateful for the opportunities I had,  Grateful for the people who pushed me down, Thankful for the ones who made me smile,  For they made me see all who I could be, And the all who I wasn't till then. I am grateful for I am better, because of my experiences, Thankful that I know the worth of the small things, Am glad I know how precious friends are, And that I cherish every single phone call. I am glad that God gave me a chance, To see how beautiful life is, When you are around people who are full of lush, And who are full of laughter. You know what I am happier about? That I want to keep my friends so close, for I lost them once...

The Last Thought

Did you know that on average, a person has 12000 to 16000 thoughts in a day?  Of course, we don't remember all of it. Writers need to put down their thoughts on paper, right there and then if they find them interesting. Or blippi-ti-bloop the thought will be forgotten, and might never come back.  It is evident that not all our thoughts are worth thinking anyways. Sometimes, they come in a cluster which makes it impossible to be in the present. Who is being harmed by this? You, right? I listened to a Sadhguru video a few days back, where he told, how we can use our mind for happiness. Instead of belittling ourselves, we can create stories or scenarios that may or may not come true, but at least will serve the purpose of cheering us.  Unfortunately, most of us let our minds rule us, instead of us being the one in control of it. We are human beings, and yes, we shall get upset from time to time. But, it's our mind that pulls us into depression. So, why not use our minds for ...

That Overused Term.

Ever think of love? What are the chances that a person could fall in love madly and deeply, to the extent that it consumes them? 10 times? Or maybe only once? They say those who do not seek it, those who do not fight for it, might not even find it. They may spend their entire lives, either hung over someone who they loved and lost, or settle for someone they do not even love. Under societal pressures or because of their own loneliness? But people have felt that emotion throughout history. Some find it in separation, which is also known to be the strongest of all the loves that exist. The dire need to look at someone and feel alive. The missing that is so powerful that it overtakes your mind and body. In the times of quarantine, the strings of your own heart can very well be understood. It is all peaceful out and there is a certain deafening silence. It could make you hear your soul, for you have nowhere to escape. Immerse yourself in books and movies as much as you want, but ...

You can't pass off as 18 anymore, can you?

Woh! I had one hefty weekend with my friend, who I was able to enjoy with after almost three years! Yeah, we met in between the years but it was either for only a few hours or something was upsetting about our life. Well, but this time around we had immense fun. We went out partying, and the next day to the campus where we spent all our time together few years ago, and realized how far we have come. We are two changed individuals, knowing how to carry ourselves in a better way than what we did in college. We can't pass of as 18 anymore, where we had a billion insecurities about ourselves and no clue where our life will go. We never thought much about ourselves and now we have a self-esteem which can't go wrong. Then. (2011) Now. (2017) Do we really look any different? Yet we are! The tattoo talks, the hair color talks and the talks about getting another piercing were not what we talked about "all the time".I was just checking out an article regarding t...

NO pain..NO gain !

O look, there she goes, shedding those tears again no, she doesn't realize they won't lessen her pain... She keeps wondering all day long, the decisions she took were right or wrong? Low esteem prevents her to be strong, and she is not willing to move on. Somebody, please make her realize She did what she had to do, It's her heart she has always listened to, change is what all have to go through. O somebody, just hold her hand, and make her innocent mind understand, Life is mere a bittersweet symphony and everyone goes through some kind of agony. Someday all have to choose one way out of the two, it may seem wrong at first to you but the journey would still, Bring the merry times too... BELIEVE is the word for you. 'coz HE is always there for you. Helping you learn some patience, when misery surrounds you ...!
