Gratitude

As this year I had vowed to have a rise in positive thoughts in my mental system, I have seen the stones turn around. This doesn't mean that I do not have my lows anymore, but for sure I feel that am attracting positive energy and a lot of laughs. Thus, as the month is ending I decided to jot down a pretty list of things I am grateful for. I am grateful for the opportunities I had,  Grateful for the people who pushed me down, Thankful for the ones who made me smile,  For they made me see all who I could be, And the all who I wasn't till then. I am grateful for I am better, because of my experiences, Thankful that I know the worth of the small things, Am glad I know how precious friends are, And that I cherish every single phone call. I am glad that God gave me a chance, To see how beautiful life is, When you are around people who are full of lush, And who are full of laughter. You know what I am happier about? That I want to keep my friends so close, for I lost them once...

The Last Thought

Did you know that on average, a person has 12000 to 16000 thoughts in a day?  Of course, we don't remember all of it. Writers need to put down their thoughts on paper, right there and then if they find them interesting. Or blippi-ti-bloop the thought will be forgotten, and might never come back.  It is evident that not all our thoughts are worth thinking anyways. Sometimes, they come in a cluster which makes it impossible to be in the present. Who is being harmed by this? You, right? I listened to a Sadhguru video a few days back, where he told, how we can use our mind for happiness. Instead of belittling ourselves, we can create stories or scenarios that may or may not come true, but at least will serve the purpose of cheering us.  Unfortunately, most of us let our minds rule us, instead of us being the one in control of it. We are human beings, and yes, we shall get upset from time to time. But, it's our mind that pulls us into depression. So, why not use our minds for ...

Pushing Boundaries.

When you are closer to achieving, a far-sighted dream - why does the fear engulf you? I guess, the fear is a good sign. The thrill, the adrenaline tells us that we are pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone. Once fear strikes, doesn't mean that we stop. Always. It only suggests that we choose wisely. Think deep into the situation before hopping on a decision. There is nothing in the world you cannot do. You must dare to achieve what the world thinks you cannot do. You should push yourself to do the things you think you cannot do. What are these quotes for, by the way? As I sit here mongering on the brochures of various colleges and stressing over picking the right one in the right city - I fear. I fear to lose out on my comfortable life, working with one of the best MNCs.Would I be able to do online shopping for the next 2 years? hah! Would I get boost in salary that I expect after my studies? Would I even get a job? What if I lose out on the amazing friends I met he...

Butterflies.

Ever looked at a butterfly closely? When we were young, we were asked to paint the pictures of butterflies. We used unimaginable colors to fill in. As we grow, we often miss out on the colors. But it takes only a butterfly to remind us of all the beauty in little things. Like the butterflies in stomach? Oh, who doesn't like those, right? The exchange of a smile, or when you are meeting someone after such a long time -- those butterflies -- that make everything move in the inside. It makes you feel alive. We have to absorb the moments which bring that emotion in us. A friend of mine made me read a quote from Alchemist: "It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting." And well, isn't it true!

Why Solo Travel might be Overrated

There are people who claim to love travelling alone. They claim that it helps them know themselves "better" and have some me-time. But, I live in a city where I face language barrier and have to spend a lot of time alone. Thus, when it comes to travelling, I doubt if I would ever want to go to another place far away and wish to do the same. Roam around alone with no one to giggle with. It is hard to accept that you don't enjoy me-time, as other people have this opinion that "intelligent" people would always love to do the same. There are billion intelligent, shit-crazy thoughts that pass through their mind when they are travelling and they can manage everything all by themselves. Why would you want to spend time alone, when you rarely get to enjoy a family time? Where is the world taking you? When you are out there on the beach all by yourself, won't you miss your funny friend who makes you giggle all the time? Won't you want to be with a partner ...

Be a little selfish.

Writing about something that is too close to your heart, isn't always easy. You always have the risk of being exposed. You always wonder what would people think if they read it and know its me? But the real touch, comes with being vulnerable. It comes with being true to your heart and writing whatever it is that you want to, no matter how crazy or how heart-breaking it is. The music of my fingers tapping on the keys, is what I love. The pleasure that comes with releasing those emotions on a blank page is what might be the most satisfying feeling in the world.  But then, we all are a little too afraid, aren't we? it takes time to lose all the little fears and insecurities that you have in you. But, soon you shall be able to if you develop more courage. Know that you must live for yourself and not for others. Know that you need to do what your heart wants without considering how others might feel or say. Yes, you must be sensitive to the world, but not at the cost of you...

Anxiety... or is it dissatisfaction?

"Anxiety" might be a commonly used term to describe the state of restlessness. These days it seems like no one is "peaceful" anymore. When I met my college friend after a long time, I recalled who I used to be. Our view used to be the same and those were of being "satisfied" with whatever you have. It was about being happy in the moment for all that exists. But as time has passed by and new dreams and goals have developed, I seem to have lost a calmness in my heart. I might smile and be polite, but inside there is a havoc, I feel. A dire need to achieve something golden or to get recognized for a good work. Today, while I was writing an article for a website, I realized maybe it isn't about reaching your goals, but more about working on your skills to achieve those. When everyone says that you need to promote your talents, we forget that we need to improve them as well. Practice might not be enough, if we aren't paying detailed attention to it...

20 Things You Learn In Teenage

You will fall out of love and you will regret it. It's awful. Breaking someone else's heart is even more terrible than getting your own heart, broken. You will love someone who won't ever love you back. Happens at least once with everyone. It's okay, you'll move on. Probably, after totally embarrassing yourself and realizing that they don't deserve your love at all. You will let people walk all over you because you cannot afford to lose them. Yes, you are stupid. You are a teenager, after all. We need to forgive others. It's never good for us to hold grudges. But it's not okay when they make a mistake the third time. It never will be okay. Leave them. They can go f**k their ass wherever and whenever they want. You need to forgive yourself. Everyone makes mistakes. Believe it or not, those mistakes make our life better in some way. When your first friend is cheating on your second friend, you are not supposed to tell that friend and ruin your fr...

NO pain..NO gain !

O look, there she goes, shedding those tears again no, she doesn't realize they won't lessen her pain... She keeps wondering all day long, the decisions she took were right or wrong? Low esteem prevents her to be strong, and she is not willing to move on. Somebody, please make her realize She did what she had to do, It's her heart she has always listened to, change is what all have to go through. O somebody, just hold her hand, and make her innocent mind understand, Life is mere a bittersweet symphony and everyone goes through some kind of agony. Someday all have to choose one way out of the two, it may seem wrong at first to you but the journey would still, Bring the merry times too... BELIEVE is the word for you. 'coz HE is always there for you. Helping you learn some patience, when misery surrounds you ...!

Message by Santa Claus

When I woke up this morning, I found a letter below my pillow. I realized it was not only for me, so I had to create a blog and spread the message. To     All people clinging to despair, This Christmas I am going to gift you happiness, not with a present, but with some of my words which could help you get away from your sorrows. Sometimes in life, people are sucked into the dark hole of negative thoughts. Human beings tend to get addicted to this form of darkness and stop trying to come out from their grief. It is easier for them to enjoy this newly built, low self-esteem. They do not realize the fact that it's leading them nowhere but only weakening them and killing them with each passing day. If you wish to be happy, my child, you must have a calm mind. You have to learn how to be content with what you are and how your life is. After all, life never provides you with everything you want. Everyone has slipped or has been unable to fulfill their utmost desires, ...
